Our Story
It all started when our founder, John Smith, was recovering from a back injury. He spent many sleepless nights propped up with hard, uncomfortable pillows trying to find a position that didn’t cause him pain. He knew there had to be a better solution.
After months of research and testing different designs, John developed the first Insen® reading pillow – created specifically to provide ergonomic back and neck support for sitting up in bed. The pillow was an instant hit with John’s family and friends who suffered from their own sleep issues.
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, John rented a small warehouse, bought some sewing machines and fabric, and started hand-making reading pillows to sell online. Within a year, demand grew so much that he opened a factory and hired staff to ramp up production.
